Stephan Sellmaier is head of the Research Center for Neurophilosophy and Ethics of Neurosciences, which is a bridge between philosophy and the Munich Center for Neurosciences - Brain and Mind (MCN). Research here focuses on the philosophical implications of empirical results in the cognitive sciences and neurosciences. He researches and teaches on questions of philosophical action theory (mental causation, free will, control over actions), philosophy of science (with regard to the neurosciences), and neuroethics.
